Our Outreach Mission- Activities for young people
As part of our expedition goals, we have set ourselves the important task of sharing our knowledge about the Arctic as far and wide as possible. The polar regions are in critical condition as a result of global warming and so now more than ever before, its important that we protect them. To assist us in this mission of conservation and protection, one of our project leaders, Ricky Baker, has put together a range of fun activities and resources that can be used by teachers and youth leaders for their young people as an introduction to learning more about the Arctic.
Below are PDFs that can be downloaded with a range of different activities. If you’re a Scouting or Girl Guiding group, you will find that activities fulfill a breadth of badge requirements across different age groups.
As a token of appreciation for the time taken to create these resources, it would mean a lot to us if you could make a donation to our Arctic Quest campaign. To donate please go to: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/arcticquest
Alternatively, you could get your young people to fundraise £5 each for a Worsley patch after completing some of these Arctic activities! To buy patches visit our Merchandise page and click on the picture of the patch to buy from Ebay.
If you have any more suggestions for us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch as we would love to build on this resources tool kit. Also, we would love to see pictures of your groups undertaking these activities. You can email us at: info@arcticquest2026.org.uk
